One thing that I have found to be very helpful (even though I was a BIG skeptic when this process was brought to my attention) is having a vision board. The premise of a vision board is that humans are visual learners and what we see works through to our subconscious and can motivate us to accomplish our stated goals because it helps us to imagine ourselves in the photos — a bigger office, a big house, cool vacation, eating healthier, etc. It sounds hokey, but it has really helped me with my focus.
