The Ultimate Entrepreneurial Field Trip for Parents & Teens
You may remember that last year I went on my first retreat hosted by Rhea Perry in Destin, FL. I had a fabulous time and am still reaping the benefits of this educational and inspiring gathering of homeschooling families seeking to give their children an alternative to the many pitfalls of “traditional” employment. I found the retreat to be an endless source of ideas and motivation too!
Tuesday, August 31st, Rhea is hosting a webinar that will discuss why your kids don’t need a lemonade stand. Below is the invitation that I got in my email last night. Since it’s Rhea’s event I figured I’d let her explain it to you, so here it is:
If you’ve ever encouraged your children to set up a lemonade stand on the sidewalk out in front of the house… and thought that was entrepreneurial… consider this:
- You may be preparing them for future bondage.
- You may be training them to swap their hours for dollars.
- You may be setting them up in what could be the beginning of a business that runs them ragged, stresses them beyond belief and doesn’t accomplish their goals.
There are secrets to implementing the mind of Christ in business which waaaay too many of us haven’t discovered. So how can you train your children to develop a godly entrepreneurial mindset when you haven’t been trained to have one yourself?Well tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 31st, my team and I will be hosting a webcast to discuss just that.
We’ll be talking about:
- How to Develop a Godly Entrepreneurial Spirit in Your Children
Did you notice I said, “my team and I”?
(Doing your work with a team is just one key.)
This is just part of what we’ll be immersing ourselves in at the only 3-day live event of its kind for parents and teens on Oct. 1-3.
My team and I are hosting the Ultimate Field Trip where parents and teens can learn together 3 important things.
How to:
*Get vision for your life’s calling
*Start and build a home biz
*InvestIf you want more out of life than just a job… even in a turbulent economy… join me tomorrow night on a webcast that could change education in your house forever.

Then forward this invitation to everyone you know who is sick of having just a job and who wants to make an impact in life instead of just a living.
Oh, and if you’ve heard that my husband is in the hospital, yes he is. He’s been battling prostate cancer for years. We’d appreciate your prayers for his healing.
Never in a million years did I think that I would have to take over the responsibility for my family with four children still at home. But you never know what the future will hold so you have to do what you have to do to survive.
I’m just thankful that because I have an internet business, I can keep working while my husband is sleeping soundly in a hospital bed beside me. We’re taking him home tomorrow where Hospice will help us take care of him.
You never know how long you have your loved ones with you so don’t let stupid mind games and silly pride ruin your relationships. Live in forgiveness and learn to develop the mind of Christ. Love your family members no matter what. God is for you and wants you to do exceedingly well in whatever you choose to do with your life. So make the most of it and GO FOR IT!
So many books, so little time…
Rhea!

Franchesca’s Final Tips
And here’s the final tips and thoughts that Fran thinks is important to know if you’re considering a daycare business:
Question: Do you have any additional advice or suggestions for someone thinking about starting a daycare?
Answer: I think the first thing that you should do is really do a personality self-study course. Understanding what “color” or personality each child is really helps you to deal with the day-to-day antics. I can now anticipate what each child is most likely to do in given situations and arrange things so that they won’t be too stressful for either of us.
Another thing I whole-heartedly suggest is that you check with your local county to find out what kinds of perks might be available for your in-home daycare. I wish that I lived in a community that would allow me to run my daycare from home. Do not incur additional overhead by leasing a commercial space unless you have no other choice. (more…)

Session 1 – Evaluating Business Potential
Question:
“How important is it for a new entrepreneur to have a written business plan in hand before seeking out financing sources and why?”
Rod Banks
Executive Vice President, Small Business Market
Bank of America
Topics covered in this video:
Writing a business plan, loans, financing, cash flow
Transcript:
Well, a great question. Having a business plan is actually more important than the loan application because before you make an application for a loan you really need to have that business plan. The business plan needs to be your vision as to why you want to start this business and where you’re going to go with it.
You typically start with an executive summary because at some levels not everybody is going to read every single page. You need to have the executive summary that talks about why you’re going to start this business, what you’re going to do with it and then you need to describe your product. You need to describe the competitive environment you’re in. Talk about competition. Talk about cash flow, because in your business there is probably going to be seasonality. You need to talk about any financial headwinds that might come about, what might the difficulties be and how would you as an entrepreneur be able to weather those headwinds.

Don’t Miss Out: Conversations with the Masters
If you are serious about building your MLM business, you’re probably also a little frustrated with some of the help you’ve been getting from your upline leaders. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, why not listen to MLM Masters discuss how they rose about their peers to be the top of their company. Learn how they overcame their struggles, maintained a level head amidst victories and more.
My friend, Mr. John Fogg brings this to you and more each and every week in “The Mastermind Sessions”. But general access to these insightful and educational interviews is coming to a close. According to John:
“After midnight (great name for a song) Wednesday, August 12, there will be NO new subscribers accepted to the Sessions. If by chance you don’t know just what a rich resource I’m talking about, you can learn more here:
The MasterMind Sessions have been a labor of love, “best thing I’ve ever done” deal for more than 3 years. And, I’m moving on, and, I can do a number of things at a mediocre level or a couple of things brilliantly and, I’m choosing brilliant. So, The MasterMind Sessions of more than 141 hours of “Conversations with The Masters” stays as is, nothing new will be added (‘cept the occasional “Surprise!”) in favor of all my efforts going to an old dream and new project: http://UplineRadio.com. It’s a Purple Cow.
So, this is my “Final Offer.” Complete access 24-7-365 to all there is (and there’s a ton!) in The MasterMind Sessions from now on and on for $97. No strings. No come on’s. Just a sincere and serious “Come On,” this really is the last chance to get what some people have called “The single most useful & valuable library of Direct Sales, MLM, Network Marketing knowledge & training in the world.”
BottomLine: Subscribing to The MasterMind Sessions will help you build a bigger business, faster, bring in more people and (what we all truly want) make more money.
Remember please, this final offer ends @ 12:00 am Wednesday, August 12, 2009.
Thanks.
I appreciate you!
— John”
I have enjoyed these recordings both as a subscriber and a transcriber and can assure you that you’ll be in for a great learning experience. I’ve used some of these recordings to help the young teenagers that I know that are having problems with setting goals for themselves. This isn’t just for people who want to be “MLM Millionaires”.
It’s also for people who want to develop a stronger sense of self, goal setting, perseverance and just want better control of their finances and lives. You’ll be listening to Jack Zufelt, Noah St. John, Tim Sales, Kim Klaver, Carrie Wilkerson, Jordan Adler and more! And for the aspiring “MLM Millionaire” there’s lots of insider information and ideas that are shared throughout. This is truly a treasure trove of information at your fingertips.
So, please, do yourself a favor and check out the Mastermind Sessions. It’s a great investment for both your business and your personal development.
P.S. If you’re wondering why I’m telling you all of this, it’s because besides being a great series, John is also a homeschoolers and I like to promote from within our little group.
