After more than 20,000 miles traveled, almost 200 three-second flights and 17,263.45 points awarded, the 2010 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series staged its final showdown at the Kawainui Falls on Hawaii’s Big Island.
In a spine-tingling competition, reigning World Series champion and Oahu resident Orlando Duque took his first season victory in front of the divers’ families and friends and handed over the title to Gary Hunt. This year’s dominator took four wins out of six and takes the crown from Colombia to England.

Typically English weather conditions with water from all sides and chilly temperatures turned out to suit Gary Hunt perfectly at the penultimate stop of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2010 in Sisikon, Switzerland. Taking the lead after round one, the 26-year-old prevailed against his competitors and took his fourth season victory in front of 3,500 weatherproof spectators on Lake Lucerne this Saturday afternoon. The Brit is just one point away from winning the overall title at the final in Hilo, Hawaii, on September 12.

After the Englishman’s three consecutive wins in the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2010, the Russian claimed the highest score in front of 45,000 enthusiastic fans.

-Artem Silchenko was not satisfied with his second place finish in the two previous competitions so he felt he needed this victory in Polignano a Mare, Italy, ahead of nine-times world champion Orlando Duque (COL) and Gary Hunt (GBR).
