second , it is only penalty if the person is shoved/pushed/ whatever you want to call it, in the back. smith did not cause a “block in the back” penalty because he actually grabbed manning by his shoulders, and turned him and knocks him on the side.
The block on the back penalty is only if someone contacts another player on the back in order to block him. the ref was right there, and the colts coach did not call an illegal block, thus validating that touchdown
