@Rimzee – It’s true …
@Rimzee – It’s true. I remember when Webb talked about the World Cup on MTW and talked about how Cricket didn’t matter that summer, THEY HAD THE ASHES THE DAFT CUNT!!!
This is exactly …
This is exactly what I think about football. It really bugs me when people say ‘we’ all the time!
Aah, we’d had a …
Aah, we’d had a good time writing that sketch..
And sohave a right …
And sohave a right to say “We”.
If you are …
If you are supporting the team by singing etc or by your presence at the game, you are helping them win by boosting their morale. Which Robert Webb’s character didn’t do.
@Vannereveilar I …
@Vannereveilar I often donate decently large amounts of money to my local hospital. By your logic if i hang around in the hospital watching people work, organize some fun activies and see if i can get a nurse fired for something, that means i am actually a part of that hospital and have the privelage to talk about all the surgeries i personally performed.
And anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded.
@xrach2006x And are …
@xrach2006x And are on the football pitch. Playing the game. As a team member.
Otherwise, no your not. What does distance have to do with it? it doesnt matter if your there or a hundred miles away on a blimp watching through a telescope. your still not allowed to say “We” lol
Mitchell sounds a …
Mitchell sounds a bit like John Motson!
@Khuratokh Yeah …
@Khuratokh Yeah fully. I particularly like “the last time you decided you supp0orted liverpool 20 seconds after they won the European cup”. We have the same in New Zealand with the Crusaders rugby team
@Rimzee I think …
@Rimzee I think they understand exactly, which is what makes it all so hilarious.
Mitchell and Webb …
Mitchell and Webb simple don’t understand what it means to be a football fan.
2:04 David looks …
2:04 David looks right at the camera after saying that he has as much right to claim involvement in Raiders as Robert does in football. Anyone else think he’s driving a point home to the fans there?
@20cFilmWannabe i …
@20cFilmWannabe i know how it feels.
@Bazzage14Fifa its …
@Bazzage14Fifa its typical cos i was on you tube looking at all there old sketches before the new sereis came out and wen i watched it expecting greatness i was very dissapointed at how it was
@20cFilmWannabe …
@20cFilmWannabe yeah none of the sketches are funny.
you only really …
you only really have a right to say “we” if you actually go to matches …
the new sereis is a …
the new sereis is a let down
Well this is …
I hate football, overpaid players, mindless fans following their team thinking that they are a part of it lol What losers.. making movies, drawing, photography, exploring and hanging out with friends are way more fun than that game.
Well this is accurate. It portrays the football fan as an idiot
@hazzario sounds …
@hazzario sounds fare
2:08 onwards, my …
2:08 onwards, my exact views on football now and football fans.
This has to be my favourite sketch by mitchell and webb :p

CX soo true
@hazzario Hmmm… …
@hazzario Hmmm…I’m a Danish Liverpool fan so following this logic I’m an even bigger tit
this is just pure …
this is just pure genius
we all know it’s true
If you’re a fan of …
If you’re a fan of a club, you’re not connected to the team and the players, only the organization that buy and sell the players because it’s only the organization that’s constant. So you could say ‘we’ if you’re identifying yourself with the managers, but you can’t include yourself in the ‘we’ meaning the team on the field. Then again, as a fan, you have to ask yourself how much you contributed to ‘your’ win.
